Students must be current United States high school sophomores and juniors who are preparing for college attendance. Freshmen and seniors at the time of their application are not eligible. Students must have a serious interest in pursuing a health or medical career.
A complete application packet will include an Online Application and a short essay question. Applicants may be required to submit a current grade report or transcript upon request (only). Details will be provided at the time of any request.
Please note that housing is not provided. Students from outside the Bay Area must stay in local housing with their parents, guardians, or another responsible adult designated by their parents. A list of local accommodations can be found at Stanford Visitor Information. It is our expectation that all registered students who are from outside the area will be under the supervision of a responsible adult when the Discovering Medicine program is not in session.
Deadline for applications is announced when applications become available in the Spring. Rolling admission will apply until the program is filled. If there is insufficient enrollment, the Discovering Medicine @ Stanford program will not be offered.
There is no financial aid for this program.
